out of 5we stayed in theHotel Carlton which was excellent in every way, the fountains and architecture in Madrid were stunning. we visited two very good galleries the first was the Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, the second was the Thyssen-Bornemisza Gallery which was superb. the famous flea market El Rastro on sunday morning was huge the biggest in Spain. we also walked around the lovely Parque del Retiro. it was easy to get around on the tube. the main staion wa amazing too. all in all we had a wonderful short break and would definitely book the hotel we stayed in again
