Based on the hugely successful novel and awarding winning film of 1970 Love Story tells the heart wrenching tale of Oliver Barrett IV and Jennifer Cavilleri. Voted one of the most romantic films of all time by the American Film Institution Love Story is a new musical that will melt your heart and send shivers down your spine.

Oliver Barrett IV comes from a family of wealth and prestige and is attending Harvard Law School. Jennifer Cavilleri is from a working class family and studies music at the Radcliffe College. When the two meet in the Radcliffe library there is chemistry between them that crosses any boundaries of class. Love Story follows the highs and lows of the young couple’s relationship. Marrying after graduation Oliver and Jennifer are out on their own as Oliver’s disapproving father cuts ties with his son. With good jobs and an apartment the two try for a baby but all does not go to plan and the young couple must face their biggest difficulty.

Debuting at the Chichester Festival Theatre Love Story ran at the Minerva Theatre from 29 May 2010 until 26 June 2010. Now the show has moved to the intimate Duchess Theatre. With 482 seats it is a superb venue to experience this remarkable story.

With music by the award winning composer Howard Goodall and lyrics by Stephen Clarke Love Story marks the debut of Michael Ball as a West End Producer.

Love Story runs for 90 minutes with no interval.
