out of 5We stayed at the royal norfolk hotel. We were forewarned that the lift was out of order and that there would be no-one available to carry bags upstairs after 2pm. When we arrived we were given a room on 4th floor. My grandson and I struggled to reach our room with cases. The room was tiny with no heating. We were given heaters which helped. However after a couple of trips up and downstairs I had to ask to be moved to another room. We were moved to 2nd floor. Room was better although very basic. Toilet with shower was very very small. Shower curtain badly needed changing. Breakfast was good and the staff were pleasant. Overall hotel was a bit disappointing but we didn't spend a great deal of time in it. One positive point about this hotel was that it was immediately next to the tube station.

out of 5I have stayed at the royal norfolk three or four tims a year for a couple of nights at a time over probably the past eight years. The fact that i still see staff there who were there when i first stayed says a lot. The one major problem, however, is the unavailability of the lift which has been out of action now for a number of years. For the first time in a long while i was on the 4th floor. A climb of 99 stairs several times per day is not ideal for someone of an age to be able to receive the state retirement pension!.

out of 5The hotel was ideally located to the train station. It was clean and the room had everything that you needed. The staff were very helpful. We used the hotel as a base to do site seeing, being close to paddington transport by bus or tube was really good.
