out of 5I am a repeat customer of Superbreak and plan to continue taking breaks with them, but I would never stay at the royal national 'hotel' again. It should be renamed 'hostel'. Basic and outdated are understatements, and the breakfast room has some serious problems! its only plus is its location, which is within walking distance of both kings cross station and the theatre district. I can't speak highly enough of the harry potter studio tour at leavesden. (must be pre-booked) get the coach from victoria. The tour is truly mind-blowing! best attraction I have been to.. Ever!.

out of 5A hotel this central inevitably involves compromise. It was exceptionally busy wit hlarge numbers of bus tours, mainly european students. The reception area was constantly heaving. However our room was quiet and very adequate. Breakfast at 8.00am was a cross between a school canteen and a zoo. 1st day left withoput eating. 2nd and 3rd waited until 9.30 - much better. Everywhere in the city is walkable from this hotel we would actually be happy to return.

out of 5Hotel was good for a short break but areas were overrun with school children especially breakfast. Our bedroom had been refurbished and was very good but fire doors in corridoors banged all night when they were meant to be silent closers. I would use hotel again as it proved to be handy for transport links a good tip is to buy underground tickets at station prior to travel as the queues are horrendous.

out of 5Ther royal national hotel makes an excellent base. Room very comfortable with plenty of hot water. Breakfast very good. Very busy hotel. London transport (buses or underground) is tops with very little waiting. Always felt safe on the streets in the city centre.
