High Courts of Justice near the Aldwich are well worth a visit. Open to the public daily. Choice of courts. Very interesting in the criminal courts to see how the justice system works at appeals level and how the barristers operate. Like going back in time. Be prepared to be patient throughout the appeals and always remember to bow to the judge on entry and exit.Wicked is an Excellent show. Brilliant talent. Engaging throughout. 3 hours passed very quickly. Finished wanting more.

Still the best organised show in London,I forgot my first day tickets, but getting them replaced was so easy, just went to the collection office at entrance and they dealt with it without any fuss.

Great Weekend in London

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 31/12/06

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

The weekend started with smiles on our faces when the train set off on schedule and a couple sitting opposite gave us a few amusing moments. We took our seats on the train to be joined by a very odd couple - the man kept giving me very odd cheesy smiles and the woman sat with a blanket over her head and spoke to her partner through the blanket only coming out for the odd peek. Very strange but it gave us some amusing moments. The hotel was very nice, room small but the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. We scouted the area and had a lovely bar meal at the Victoria Pub just up from the hotel. The weather was appalling but we did not let us spoil our weekend. We visited the National Portrait Gallery which was fantastic. We went to the Fortune Theatre, Russell Street, to see Woman in Black and arrived at the theatre soaken wet (but we didn't let it spoil the night), it was a very unusual play which got better as the play progressed with some good effects and excellent acting! We went to a Persian restaurant called Simurgh on Garrick St, Covent Garden on New Year's Eve where the food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the night was just brilliant. After our meal we went to the Lamb and Flag pub where we drank wine and champagne with some people from Ethiopia, Norway and America and whilst making our way back to the hotel we met some other people who were also enjoying the New Year celebrations. On our New Year Superbreak weekend we met all sorts of people, ate some excellent food, saw a fabulous play,in the wonderful city of London, rain or no rain!! We booked the weekend through Superbreak and it's the best way to book a weekend away. What more does anyone want from a weekend away, isn't London wonderful!!! Thanks Superbreak.
