out of 5The reception staff - or should I say, one blonde girl in particular - were slow, over-confident and slapdash. They do not listen. They talk at you, rather than to you. These were the same reasons I stopped going to this hotel 25 years ago. The room was too small for three and too hot. The pool was so crowded that it was impossible to get a swim. But the breakfast was as good as it gets and the best I have ever had - and that is quite a compliment. The local attractions (the lakes) are without equal as a place to visit, and so this hotel will continue to thrive.

out of 5Main purpose of the trip to attend a wedding in lovely surroundings in a marquee in the Eden valley. Weather was kind the hospitatlity very generous and a jolly fine time had by all. On the Friday stayed at North Lakes hotel M6. Staff were all warm & friendly & the facilities up to its star rating. Only critiscism the room we stayed in was looking a little dated & is probably due a refurb. Visited Salsa in the market square excellent mexican menu & our food was top notch and not expensive.

out of 5Overall the hotel was very high quality. There was a small problem with our room on arrival and we were offered a free room upgrade by the duty manager. Otherwise excellent facilities. I would have liked it to have been a little more rural (right next to M6), however, there was no noise problem and the staff could not have been more helpful. A small gripe, on Superbreak side. On checking out I was given a £48 bill for the two childrens' breakfasts. I had paid for 1 adult and 2 children b&b, but was shown on leaving (in minute print) that only my breakfast was included. This was not clear at all at the point of booking.

out of 5Had a fantastic break for my partners 40th birthday. The food at this hotel is second to none. Great if you want to unwind. The only negative thing I would say about this hotel is the location, but on saying that you are only a short distance from some breathtaking walks. Fabulous time was had. Highly recommended.
