out of 5The bedrooom was on the top floor (no lift!!) the floor of the room sloped towards the ensuite whose plumbing made terrible noises. The shower went freezing cold whilst showering! there was a towel draped across a clear glass window in the ensuite!! old used cups were in drawers!! very poor housekeeping in the room and very poor service in the restaurant of the hotel, the waitresses looked as if they didn't want to be there and the food was awful hence us eating out on our second nights stay!! breakfast was a fiasco, it was organised like something out of 'fawlty towers'. Do not stay at this hotel!! their excuse was that is was very busy!!!

out of 5Lovely setting for hotel although not much to do at night as outside paths of surrounding area were pitch black. Good for visiting kendal on bus with our bus passes. Food in hotel was superb thanks to chef on well cooked and varied menu.

out of 5The hotel we stayed in was dated but was clean and had a cosy atmosphere. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room were nice but the gym was very small. The restaurant foofd was great and the staff were very friendly and professional. The area was very quiet which we liked and was only a 15 min drive into Bowness which was full of lovely restaurants and bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there.
