2 Days In London

Stay Date: 15/09/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Very good hotel apart from the bed which was very uncomfortable with springs sticking up. Staff were very kind. Breakfast fine. Room on 6th floor. Very good. Quiet. Hotel in a very good location for tube and 74 bus. Visited old haunts we used to visit many years ago when we 3 friends shared a flat in london in the 50's. A real treat was tea at fortnum & mason and dinner in orange restaurant.

out of 5My visit was very enjoyable and though I spent very little time in my hotel room, it was extremely small. It had a double bed though I was the only booking, but if they had booked two people into that room it would have been impossible to move!.

Weekend Visit To London

Stay Date: 09/05/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5The main purpose of our visit was to sing in the albert hall on sunday. We looked for a hotel in walking distance. It was our first stay at the hotel and turned out to be an excellent choice - in fact the best experience over a number of years - would most certainly book again.
Overnight Stay

Stay Date: 09/04/11
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5More a short business trip but hotels can be some distance away even in central london. London is huge. The hotel was not impressive for 4 star and was a typical tourist venue themed for rapid turnover. The bed was a good size for a single occupant but the room was tiny and view uninspiring. Breakfast staff pleasant but the breakfast was standard catering fare. Awful scrambled egg instead of nice fried ones. Other ingredients tasteless and coming out of tins. Is this standard for 4 star; if so, the grading needs changing.
A Visit To See Cliff Richard

out of 5Our journey to London by virgin train from Manchester was excellent as were our journeys on london buses (free with our bus pass!) the hotel in Kensington was convenient for the Royal Albert Hall as well as harrods and kensington gardens. We felt the hotel was very good value for money.
