out of 5We arrived on a friday night, which we soon found out was over 30's singles night. Had to wait for the receptionist to juggle rooms about which gave the impression that they weren't expecting us even though we'd booked in advance. The hotel room was ok. Clean and had everything we needed but it was roasting! we opened the windows but as it was right on a main road this made it quite noisy. Didn't sleep well because of the heat, on top of that there was music playing until the early hours. I went to make a cup of tea but the kettle smelled terrible, like off milk. So i went without. The shower head was also broken and you had to hold it as the it didn't fit the holder properly. Breakfast was excellent though! and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was ok. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep. Would maybe stay again if we got a cooler room.

out of 5Hotel very pleasant, short walking distance from Derby centre. Access to the hotel car park down a very steep hill which we found to be a bit slippy in the rain (there is a hand rail provided though). The room we had was large, comfortable and clean and replenished with tea and coffee each day. The bathroom could do with an update though!
