About this hotel
Believed to be one of the oldest building in Reading, the Mercure George Hotel dates back to the early 16th century, blends old world charm with modern comfort, and is situated in the heart of Reading town centre, within easy reach of business parks, shopping and entertainment. The hotel was one of the major coaching inns between London and the West Country and it still retains many of its wonderful original features including Tudor Archways and a very attractive cobbled stone courtyard.
