out of 5We had a great short break with 2 young children hotel was perfect. Pool was lovely al ittle cool but still enjoyed it. Hotel meals were a little on the expensive side so we ate in the Brewers Fayre across the road and the children played in the Waky Warehouse. Hotel room was large enough for a family of 4 with 2 double beds that suited us fine. Would definately stay here again.

out of 5We stayed at Holiday Inn Lancaster fro a weekend mainly to catch up with our son who is now at university and to see th elocal istes. Lancaster is a really interesting place and I like th eNorthern feel of the city and it's people. The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment and ouur room lacked lustre but everything else was great. Good swimming pool, responsive staff and a great breakfast...

out of 5The hotel was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. The pool, sauna etc was very good. The staff were very helpful although the bar went unattended for longish periods early evening and I had to ask for service at Reception a couple of times. The bar meals were surprisingly good quality and value - unusual in a 'businessman's' hotel. Breakfast was very, very good.The general public area, lounge, bar etc was grim - a vast expanse of low level tables and seating, much of it sagging, with no attractive features at all. I absolutely detested the big flat-screen televisions blaring out Sky Sports football matches with almost no-one watching - such a din.The town was small but crammed with interest. We only managed to see the castle/prison and the Priory, but they were both fascinating and we spent hours in each.I would go again at the right rate.
