out of 5Nice hotel, friendly staff, good food and nice quiet rural location. Beautiful area with lots to do at bowness and lake windermere and good shopping at kendal.

out of 5The hotel was lovely the staff excellent!our only complaint is i had phoned ahead and asked that as my husband is wheat/dairy & gluten intolerant could they provide a meal for us as it was our anniversary no problem they said i then asked please make the dessert a little more exciting than "fresh fruit" salad! what did he get??? fresh fruit salad! what a let down. Trying not to be picky as the views etc were lovely!!

out of 5Disappointed in the size and standard of rooms for the money - an awful long time since last used an electric shower in a supposed 3* hotel. Would have been nice to be advised in advance a wedding was taking place resulting in not being able to use the hotel restaurant.

Editor's Comments: We do request that all the hotels we work with inform us of any large events or conferences they may be holding so we can inform clients. Unfortunately on this occasion we were not made aware of this.

out of 5Directions could have been better for distance and turnings to hotel. A very nice comfortable family hotel in it's own setting and gardens with freindly staff although for a 3 star service could be a bit more polished in dinning room. Breakfast on first morning was awful but wonderful on second morning (2 chefs?). I would go back but think a bit pricey for quality of 3 star. Very well situated for Bowness, Windemere ect.

out of 5Great time at Damson Dene Hotel in nice grounds and staff very friendly to kids Swimming pool was a plus poine for two young energetic teens Would use Hotel again
