One Day In Inverness

out of 5Arriving at the hotel at 8.15pm we had an excellent meal. The following day consisted of walking the length of the river, both sides! We walked from the hotel, only 10 minutes into town, up to the islands and across to the other side. We then walked as far as we could up to the end bridge to come back into the old town. A tour of the established shops, including the new complex and a quick pint in " the oldest pub in inverness" the phoenix bar, was a good experience. We then walked back to the hotel to have a swim and get changed for a meal in "the room" later that evening,after spending a while in another atmospheric "oldest pub in inverness" "the gellions" we couldn't get into "the mustard seed"for a meal, we were too late to book a table, but having seen the menu and heard reports about it we would certainly try there next time. Overall an excellent day out!.

out of 5I frequently stay in hotels and this is one of the best, even better than 4 or 5 star hotels. It is spotlessly clean and fabric and condition of building is first class. Staff well trained and so pleasant. Thoroughly recommend it to others.

out of 5*** Superbreak were 1st class, but when I originally booked you advertsied a Virgin wine voucher. I would love you to send me one, either on line or in the post. Looking forward to having a free drink to an excellent travel company. thanks

out of 5A smart, welcoming hotel. Room was a good size but with a view of a roof only a few feet from the window. This would have been unacceptable for a longer stay. A very pleasant restaurant and inviting menu. However there was no cask or bottled real ale in the bar. A manageress apologised and regretted that the hotel could not meet a reasonable request for a type of drink.Breakfast had a wide choice but few of the covered dishes had labels so you either took what was visible or held up everyone whilst you inspected each dish.Overall - a good hotel which we would use again.
