out of 5Excellent restaurant at hotel.Lovely setting.Rooms need decorating.Wedding guests arriving back at 4am disturbed sleep in what should have been a very peaceful setting.

out of 5During our 4 day stay in Yorkshire we met friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming people who were so pleased to show us their part of the world. The sun shone and as we travelled around the dales we saw spectacular scenery in lovely lush colours. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent travelling in this beautiful part of Great Britain and would recommend it as a worthwhile trip.Unfortunately our choice of Hotel was disappointing. The Chevin Country House Hotel and Spa was booked under luxury accommodation but it was not how we viewed it. Our wooden chalet although reasonably appointed suffered from the following problems; the windows were almost impossible to openthe carpet, bath and sink were not cleaned dailyporch light did not workonly analogue terrestrial channels availableuncomfortable bedthe path to the hotel facilities was dangerously slippy The Spa ladies changing room was so damp that I refused use the facility as I was unable to cope with the smell.At £105 per night for B&B in a supposed executive double in this 'luxury' Hotel, we expected a lot more and as a result would not recommend it and will not return.

out of 5Room was small and was advised not to drink tap water, then failed to supply drinking bottled water second night even after contacting reception number of times. Then added charge of bottled water to credit card after I had checked out and settled the bill. Also somebody in adjacent room brought a dog and left it barking in the room for over an hour.
