Magnificent Manchester

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

We checked into a lovely room if not a little small, in the Ramada overlooking the Piccadilly Gardens although the metro is being revamped at the moment it was still really busy and we enjoyed the view. This hotel is ideally situated for the shops, eating out or going to MEN. The breakfast was self service and very nice it was kept full up and warm which isn't always the case in some places. The staff were very good and attentive and we would definately stay there again it was good value for money.

Stayed within walking distance of hotel, shops and pubs, hotel really nice clean, helpful staff, lovely room. Slept well but my friend complained of "the sound of running water all night" I did'nt hear it.Show was really good, taxi there and back about £6 each way. MEN arena not good for people with walking problems, will remember if going there again.

Oasis Gig at Heaton Park

A customerfrom Airdriewho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 07/06/09

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

Stayed at the Ramada with a couple of mates as we were in Manchester for an Oasis gig at Heaton Park. We only spent one night at the Hotel before heading home and the room was only really used to give us somewhere to sleep and get a shower the next morning before leaving, but overall, you can't go wrong for the price. Fantastic location, can't really get much more central. Front rooms give a good view of Piccadilly Gardens and other areas in the city centre, 5 minutes walk from the Arndale Centre, Piccadilly Train Station is also only 10 minutes walk away, as well as metro and bus stops right outside the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants close by as well as a decent takeaway right beneath the hotel.Parking is reasonably priced and seems relatively secure, as it's above ground level and away from the busy surrounding streets. The hotel was generally very clean. Standard rooms are a bit on the small side but unless you plan on spending your entire stay in the room then this doesn't really matter! Beds are quite comfortable, clean bathrooms, flatscreen television, room service, ironing board and trouser press in each room along with a safe and pay internet service. Staff also seemed friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was also good, with plenty of choice. The bar and restaurant also seem decent. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will book into any time I go to Manchester in the future. Great value for money, considering the room facilities, hotel catering and central location.
