out of 5The doodson speedway grand prix took us to a location that we would not normally have thought of going to. Cardiff turned out to be a delight. Great party atmosphere with good street entertainment. The hotel was more than adequate with very friendly staff. The room was large and equipped with everything you need exccept the hairdryers are still the type that scorch your hair unless you hold about 2 feet away from your head. Ladies - bring your own. Continental breakfast is great and stops you from eating more than you would at home but if you want to indulge then full welsh is available. On the way back home we decided to stop off at the museum of welsh life for a couple of hours. 5 hours later we were still walking round! what an absolutely amazing place! also amazing was castle coch although only saw it from the outside. Will be returning to cardiff to see more in the near future.

out of 5The hotel was very friendly and the bar was good for relaxing. The restaurant in the hotel was very good, with decent meals at a good price, and friendly staff too. Cardiff itself was impressive. It has the castle, which is a good day out, and lots of shops to look around. Castell coch, which is just down the road from the hotel is worth a visit to. Overall a good break, and the hotel is in an ideal location to travel around the area.

out of 5My girlfriend and I came down to celebrate her birthday and watch Cardiff in the rugby semi-final. Whilst at the table in the hotel I proposed to her and we got engaged. The let down was the champagne was not in the room chilled as ordered, which took the icing off the top just a little bit. The staff were friendly and helpfull, but when I book something I do expect it to be sorted. The evening meal was a carvery and was most excellent. So we got engaged and we are happy.
