London Theatre Workshops
Take a look at our London Theatre Workshops, specifically designed to enhance your theatre experience. These workshops can be tailor made to suit your course requirements and age group. See below for some examples of educational London Theatre Workshops that we can provide:
Introduction to the West End
This is an interactive workshop designed to enhance the participants’ night in the West End. Students are taught, in a fun and relaxed environment, skills and techniques used by professional actors inspired by the themes of the show they’re seeing. Students start with a physical and vocal warm up followed by collective focus / listening exercises and theatre games.
Making a Scene
Working from a scripted scene, the focus of this workshop is bringing the text to life in truthful, imaginative and specific ways. Exploring acting methods, vocal techniques and character development, participants engage in acting and improvisational exercises designed to encourage bold and creative acting choices.
Stage Combat
Students are taught, in a fun and relaxed environment, about the relationship between acting and fight choreography. They hone their collaboration skills whilst creating their own combat. Trained professionals take students behind the scenes to discover how fights are choreographed on stage. In this thriller workshop, safety and collaboration are the focus of the session.
Step by Step
Students have the opportunity to experience different West End theatre dance styles. This session is taught by a performer from the show the group is seeing and features choreography from that show. Other options for this workshop include a professional dance audition or a specific type of dance (tap, modern, hip hop etc). There is always time for pictures, questions and autographs.
Theatre Sports
This team-orientated collection of non-stop theatre games is perfect for active, high energy groups. After physical and vocal warm ups, students stay active through team-building and improvisational games designed to heighten focus, creativity and sensitivity to others.
Theatre in Context
Learn about the historical and thematic context for your show and its literary source material. After physical and vocal warm ups, students engage in improvisational exercises designed to illustrate the impact of place and time in theatre.
