Garden Of Eden -Geneva

Eden hotel was great value for money. Accommodation and food were good; all staff were very welcoming and helpful (french girl in dining room was particularly sociable and attentive to our needs). The hotel is located close to lake and to a bus/tram stop for transport around the city (also to the airport). The gardens, parks and surrounds of the lakeside were beautiful with flowers and pleasant for walks. Plenty to do in Geneva and also sail/train excursions to other parts. A visit to yvoire (france) is a must. One of the best breaks we have had in many years (helped by glorious weather).

Lovely Lucerne!

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at 3* Best Western Hotel Krone in Lucerne wrote this review.

Stay Date: 30/10/10

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

The hotel was in an excellent location within walking distance to everthing in and around lucerne. It was clean, tidy with spacious rooms and a larger than king size bed. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent english. The local tourist information was close by and well worth a visit for finding out about excursions, timetables, tickets and prices. Some of the excursions were quite expensive and can easily be done independently using local postal buses and/or trains. If you're on a budget, i recommend getting a map of the locality and working out your own days out using local transport. The surrounding mountains, rigi and pilatus, are fantastic, well worth the climb to see view of the swiss alps. Overall lucerne was very safe, clean, tidy and everything ran like clockwork. The locals were friendly, patient and polite. It was a most enjoyable, relaxing, peaceful and idylic short break holiday.

We stayed at the Swisotel as a stop-over point on our way to Morzine in France simply perfect nothing was a problem, polite staff, excellent food and service, only negative was the 79 euros each for dinner....Ouch! and a little too far out for a quick trip to Zurich centre.

Short Break In Lucerne

I have filled out an inaccurate response in the staff box as your system will not allow me to send a response without filling it in however inaccurately. The reception staff were first class - the cleaners made a point of slamming doors and making as much noise as posasable at 6.00am!

Stopover in Geneva

A customerwho stayed at 3* Eden Hotel in Geneva wrote this review.

Stay Date: 05/09/08

Overall Hotel Rating:

The overnight stop in Geneva allowed us the opportunity for a brief look at a place neither of us had visited befoe. We were en route to a weeks'walking in Chamonix. The Geneva break added an extra dimension to that holiday. Also it allowed us to take the benefit of a direct flight from Edinburgh with no internal flight in the UK nor any overnight stopover in London.
