French Riviera

The French Riviera (Cote d’Azur) is the Mediterranean coastline from Toulon to Menton and includes the principality of Monaco. It is one of the most luxurious, expensive, and sophisticated areas in the world with an abundance of blue sea, beautiful beaches, palm trees and sparkling cities set against a backdrop of high green mountains.

Short Break In Monaco

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at 5* Fairmont Monte Carlo in Monaco wrote this review.

Stay Date: 04/10/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

Fairmont hotel is wonderful, with a variety of places to dine and drink and just relax. We often had little walks around monaco, especially around monte carlo which suited us ideally for a short break. Staff in restaurants and in shops and little cafes are all very well mannered and professional and it is worth a visit for anyone who values these things.

Nice, Nice, So Good I Named It Twice!

A customerwho stayed at 3* Boreal Hotel in Nice wrote this review.

Stay Date: 20/09/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

Reception staff at the boreal hotel were very friendly, quiet, clean room at rear with view of other buildings 40m away, linen toiletries changed daily, aircon efficient, good choice at continental breakfast, lovely coffee. Location ideal for main shops and 10 min walk to buses and prom des anglais. Tv channels (sport) poor choice, no tea tray and charge for safe rental not so good. Easy 4 euro bus (#98) ride from airport. All bus journeys in nice and environs great value of 1euro eg 1 hour bus ride to monaco. Use the train to travel to cannes. Sufficient attractions - museums, galleries, parks, hill-towns or just strolling the promenade to fill our five days. All down to personal choice. Restaurants expensive for salads/pasta and average wine. Excellent value lidl supermarket on rue dante - two blocks beyond and up from the negresco.

Weekend In Cannes

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at 4* Belle Plage Hotel in Cannes wrote this review.

Stay Date: 09/05/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

Enjoyed a great break at the belle plage in cannes. The hotel found us a room despite arriving at 9.30am to check in. We were remembered and looked after by all the reception staff to a very high standard. Breakfast was more than adequate and the location was perfect for a beach holiday with plenty of restaurants close by. Great value for money, recommended.

Short Break In Cannes

A customerwho stayed at 4* 3* Mystery Hotel in Cannes wrote this review.

Stay Date: 03/04/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

A 3 day break to reccy cannes with a view to sailing at some point. One way ticket bought and found that the tgv and eurostar home to London is 214euros. Mistakenly tried to reduce this by going to paris for 94e, then the bus for 50e. Unfortunately buses were full - needing a paris hotel for 75e, making the same as the eurostar. Cannes hotel superb and only 10 mins walk from the station- though it did face a raised dual-carriageway which some might not like. A lovely garden hid most of that. Cannes stunning! and felt safe(not so in genoa, where i had come from). Haute couture shops by the prom and gorgeous long beach. Of course the cote foothills down to the sea with palms, pines, tumbling wisteria and vines. The castle museum a little disappointing as full of a nobleman's global souveniers rather than cannes history. Many restaurants around the port packed, hence a delicious one on the boulevard jean hibert.
