Fabulous Edinburgh!

Stayed at the fountain court apartments which was in a great location. We were a short stroll away from george st and princess street and the castle. Edinburgh is a city you can walk around but we took advantage of the bus tour which helped get to holyrood park and scottish parliament - also gives you a good perspective of the city.

Fountain Court Apparments (Stewart)

Overall Hotel Rating:

Fantastic appartments only a 2 min walk to princes st and 1 min walk to george st. The apartments have all you need and are very spacious, the only downside is the rooms at the back (were I was) can get a lot of noise from the street below from very early in the morning. Edinburgh is a beutiful city and easy enough to walk round (some hills though) the bars around haymarket area and george st were all good.

Edinburgh Short Break

Stay Date: 14/03/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

Excellent accommodation at fountain court (stewart) apartments, good location & well equipped. Very smart and comfortable. We did lots of walking and made use of the buses(£3.50 for an all day ticket). Visit the castle, britannia, cramond village.See the georgian terraces, climb the hills that surround the city for views. Plenty of pubs and restaurants, usual city prices.

Perfect Weekend In Edinburgh

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 05/03/12

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

We couldn't fault the apartment, it was immaculate and with all the facilities you could possibly need. The location was also pretty great being just a short walk from george's street and then about 15mins from the castle and royal mile. However, if you don't want to be so 'touristy' there are some other quaint pubs and bars right on the doorstop of the hotel which were pretty funky. Being located on a cobbled street you can hear the cars passing through in the middle of the night which is a bit noisy but that can't really be helped. Make sure you get down to the grassmarket in the evenings, the pubs are charming with wood beams and extensive whisky menus. It really feels more like an experience and a lot more laid back than some of the weatherspoons etc on the main streets. Also make sure you climb arthur's seat, the views over the city are amazing...I could take or leave the castle.
