About Jerusalem

Following the acclaimed appearance of Jerusalem on Broadway the fantastic show is set to return to the West End for a limited run from October 2011 to January 2012.

Jerusalem follows the story of Johnny Byron who is considered by many as a waster and on St George’s day he finds himself as a wanted man for many different reasons. The police are chasing him and are determined to get this modern day Pied Piper behind bars, the local council want to evict him from his house, the local thug wants to give him a good beating, his friends want to grant him a supply of drugs and booze and to top it all his children want him to take them to the St George’s Day Fair!

The incredible Jez Butterworth’s Jerusalem, London stars Mark Rylance as Johnny Byron and Mackenzie Crook as Johnny’s best mate Ginger. The pair will bring Jerusalem, London back to life at the fantastic Apollo Theatre where it played to audiences before heading to Broadway in 2011.
