out of 5We stayed for three nights and got the bottom of our boat antifouled. We spent one afternoon in the swimming pool at the tennis club next door. Excellent it's a pity the we had to pay £10 a night for our very small dog who ate nothing when our granddaughter was free and had a huge breakfast.

out of 5We booked hotel via Superbreaks and were pleasantly surprised by the qualty and value of this particular Express Inn by Marriot. Location was good and although this seemed a relatively new build, hotel was very clean and presentable.

out of 5Parking near the Historic Dockyard is very expensive (£15.00 per day when we went). Best to arrive early and park on street nearby. The Hungry Horse Pub in Southampton (near the Rose Bowl) offers good value and caters for small and larger appetites too. HMS Victory is expensive to look round we opted for the All inclusive Dockyard ticket which is about £6.00 more but enables you to see half a dozen other boats and museums too - along with a harbour tour by boat.
