out of 5A very comfortable hotel if you like the older type of scottish hotel. Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. A good value stay.

out of 5Four forty something females met halfway in pitlochry ie 2 came down from aberdeenshire, 2 came up from glasgow. Shops, afternoon tea at hetties, refreshments, dinner at auld smiddy inn (first-class food and service). Entertainment at fishers and mckays. The scotland hotel is very central and well appointed. Spa has been well upgraded. Only flaw is the staff mean well but they need trained/an operations manager to direct. Next morning after spa headed to house of bruar. All in all a good weekend.

out of 5After a leisurely breakfast and opening our presents we drove down to the Hilton in Dunkeld and walked down by the river. It was really cold with white frost on the grass and trees which added to the Christmassy feel. We saw deer and squirrels and a couple of fish jumped in the river. The air was fresh and the walk invigorating with lovely views. We headed back to our hotel for Christmas lunch at 1.30 pm which was lovely, Two starters followed by the main course, pudding, mince pies and coffee. The rest of the afetnoon was spend relaxing and socialising before dinner in the evening. We thought this would be just a buffet but no, a three course meal was provided, unfortunatly I could only manage soup and a pudding which was plenty for my appetite. Bingo and a quiz were provided in the evening should guests whish to participate. We chose to relax with good company. All in all a very pleasant experience.
