out of 5Bus tour worth taking. Lovely city, friendly people, super hotel. Quite hilly but compact. Princes st is a mess due to tram building.

out of 5The hotel was in a great location right in the centre of the city. The room was much bigger than anticipated and was quiet as requested. The breakfast was really good, lots to choose from. On our first day we walked up to the castle which took about 30 minutes. We spent about four hours looking around and saw everything there. It was really worth the entrance fee. In the evening we went to the witchery for dinner. We were greeted exceptionally well even though we were late for our booking. The waiter was very helpful. He explained the extensive wine list to us and answered any questions we had about the menu. The food was amazing and the service continued to be as good until we left. The following day we went around a few shops and went into lots of bars. Our favourite place has to be the north bridge bar and brasserie at the scotsman hotel. They served the best champagne cocktails I have ever had.

out of 5We would mark our stay at the George Hotel in Edinburgh 5 out of 5. We couldn't fault the service of the staff or the hotel and have already recommended to friends. We would definitely stay there again.
