About Holding the Man
14 Whitehall, London SW1A 2DY
Evenings: Mon to Sat at 19:30.
Matinees: Thu and Sat at 14:30.
Holding The Man is an achingly funny and heartbreaking true life story about the relationship between Australian writer, actor and activist Timothy Conigrave and John Caleo. This multi-award winning play explores the highs and lows of their remarkable partnership and is a celebration that speaks across generations, sexual preference and culture.
Falling in love with the captain of the football team at an all-male Melbourne High School in the 1970s was never going to be universally popular. But for Tim, being young and gay in Australia was exciting but uncharted territory.
Holding The Man is based on best-selling Conigrave’s memoirs, which were reprinted 13 times around the world and won the United Nations Human Rights Award for Non-Fiction in 1995.
Please Note: Cast includes Jane Turner. Final show times are subject to change and specific cast members cannot be guaranteed for every performance.
Holding the Man Theatre Breaks always includes tickets with hotel accommodation, and the number of tickets you request must be the same as the number of hotel guests.
