out of 5We had a good stay the room was excellent and the bed was the best we have ever slept in. Some of the reception rooms need updating and decorating. The food was very good but limited choice for dinner with supplements payable. The staff were friendly. Would definitely book again. I dont usually post reviews but the poor reviews are not jusified try it you will like it.

out of 5My boyfriend & i stayed at the risley hall hotel. We were impressed by the lovely grounds that it is set in. Reception were very friendly on arrival - there had been some mix up with our room but they attended to it quickly while we waited in the drawing room. Though our double room did not have a good view, the room itself was spacious and was in keeping with the "oldy worldy" feel of the hotel & the bathroom was nice & big too. Once unpacked, we went to make use of the spa facilities which included swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room (which didn't seem to be working). The swimming pool was a bit scruffy but the changing rooms were nice & clean and i liked how we were each given a bathrobe. The hotel is in a great location, half way between nottingham & derby with a regular bus service connecting the 2 cities. We caught the bus to derby in the evening which took just 20 mins. The free dinner we had on the first night was nice though i thought quite small portions & for a lot of the choices on the menu there was a supplement to pay. Breakfast at the hotel was lovely with a buffet for cereal, fruit & juice etc., with a cooked breakfast being ordered off the menu. Would definitely recommend this hotel, it has a lovely charm about it & really good value for money through Superbreak.

out of 5The hotel was very comfortable and wonderfully warm as the temperatures outside were freezing. Plenty of hot water too. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant meal was delicious. If i had one negative comment it would be about the service in the dining room where opportunities to buy further drinks or coffees would have been appreciated. The break represented good value for money however and was very enjoyable. The gardens were lovely all veiled in snow.
