out of 52.5 hours from Colchester by car, 5 of us made the journey on a miserable day to pride park. Journey was hassle free, got there early enough to book in to hotel and have a pre-match drink. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet and is new so decor and rooms are first rate. Lost the football due to an 11 man 10 minute lapse in concentration, and apart from extorting £6.60 from us for a pint of lager at the ground, it was a good experience. Viscount indian restaurant was a short walk away through the railway station and is a top-notch, on- the-expensive-side restaurant but the food and service is exemplary. I would recommend all 3 - the ground, the hotel and the restaurant.

out of 5Excellent value for money- the hotel was extemely clean and well maintained - rooms spacious, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very firendly and knowledgable - excellent hotel shall use again on our next visit to Alton Towers.

out of 5The hotel was excellent and we will definitely come back when visiting our family next time.Only big disappointment over the Easter Break was the fact that the main shopping centre the Derby Westfield was closed on Sunday- PS shops in Scotland are nearly always open.Made up for it in Milton Keynes on the Wednesday on visit to family in Buckingham!

out of 5Hotel was modern and comfortable - particularly good for the business traveller and very convenient to the train station. Staff were great - helpful and welcoming. Breakfast not good. Checkout at 12.00 noon was really good, although the chambermaids were itching to clean our room.
