out of 5Nice break away. Hotel ok and most staff very good. No atmosphere in restaurant and my meal was poor. My starter was chicken ceaser salad but they forgot to put the chicken in! Mixed grill was luke warm and steak overcooked. Sent back but "did not have another" so I ended up with an alternative ten minutes after my partner had finished. Young waiter very concerned and helpful but duty manager seemed ineffective. Would not go back.

out of 5We stayed 2 nights at the menzies golf hotel, cambridge, under a deal that also included 1 nights dinner. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped, all the staff we encountered were polite and friendly and the few queries we raised were answered quickly and effectively. We didn't expect too much from the "free" dinner, but in fact the choice of food and the meal itself were really excellent, as were the breakfasts each morning. The only slight downside was the traffic noise from the nearby main road, but then again, that meant easy access to the hotel, so a small price to pay. We would be happy to stay there again.
