out of 5As this was a short break prior to visiting grandson we found the hotel to be of a good standard. Wife would have preferred a bath to a shower. My only gripe was that we were quoted a price for a 2 course evening meal of 13.75 but when we got the bill vat had been added.

out of 5Very convenient location at aston hotel for our stop-over. Comfortable, well-equipped, helpful, friendly staff. Visited relatives and friends in the area. Spent a great day in durham city, and enjoyed our brief trip to beamish. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

out of 5Handy to Aston hotel which is very good for the price. King size bed, kettle, tea and coffee in room, brilliant shower. Breakfast is exceptional, full english buffet styleBeamish is a full day out very interesting. Durham Cathedral is well worth a visit as is the university city.
