County Hotel, London Reviews (Euston)

Hotel was only a 5 minute walk from euston station, which was handy for the tube, this made getting about very easy. There is a small shopping centre 5 minutes walk from the hotel which had some great shops and also a tesco express.

I traveled to London by train if you book independantly 12 weeks in advance it's mutch cheaper.The hotel I stayed in is walking distance to kings x eauston. The hotel is basic but cheap. If you have a senior rail card you'll get a 6zone day ticket for less than than 1-2 full price day ticket. Borourgh market is a foodies type market, sa morning get off at london bridge and your there. Sunday morning flower market get off tube at old st. Take no.2 exit right hand side walk for 10 min.to st leonards church then columbia road. Nice pub at the end of the market.

I have stayed at the county hotel millions of times over the years, i am 61 now and i did my hotel training at the county when i was 17 .... It is a basic hotel at a dirt cheap price for central London and right next to euston station and a 5minute walk to kings cross station, there are hundreds of eating places within walking distance and theatres are a 15minute walk away, british museum is 5minute walk from the county hotel.... Ideal location. Up until last year the hotel was exactly the same as when i worked in it in 1968! But this year things are changing.... They now have superb brand new bathrooms and shower rooms and are still on course to putting new ones in on all the floors, there is no en-suites but there is plenty bathrooms and toilets on all floors and never once have i had to wait to use the shower or toilet. The county hotel is like i said a basic hotel and a cheap price, but you will get clean white sheets every day on your bed and a good breakfast....... Go on try it next time you go to London :-) :-).

My hotel stay at county hotel was definitely worth every penny. Location was excellent. Breakfast adequate. Hotel itself is quite dated, but for the price I've no complaints.
