11 floor room excellent room, view looking to north of the city attractions. Great thai restaurant adjacent to hotel. Used taxis to go city shopping. Hotel used as near city underground parking, no pedestrian charges encountered. Will return and use copthorne tara hotel again.

London Break

Overall Hotel Rating:

Visit was to see Carmina Burana which was superb. The Copthorne was a brilliant location & as it was nice weather we walked to the Albert Hall in less than 15 mins. Hotel very clean, nice comfy bed, staff friendly & helpful. If you explore off the main road lots of nice old London pubs such as the Warwick arms. We got the bus # 9 to & from the West End which was really easy with our Oyster cards & Hyde park were near enough for a Sunday stroll. Theatre show was great fun & as the Theatre was in Soho we were spoilt for choice for places to eat & drink. We ate Sunday night at the Papaya on Ken High St which is a lovely Thai restaurant that has been around for some time, small & friendly with lovely food at a reasonable price.

Overnight Theatre Break In London

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 06/07/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

We went to see les miserables (again) at queens theatre in london. Alfie boe and matt lucas were fantastic, as were the rest of the cast. This is a really great show. We stayed overnight at the tara copthorne hotel, kensington. The hotel is tucked away from the main road, enabling a good nights sleep. The building site across the road however, starts up at 0730hrs, so don't expect a lie in if you are a light sleeper. We were in a superior double room which was good, but the en suite was starting to look a little tired, compared to other places i have stayed. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful. I would stay here again.

A Super Two Days In London.

A customerfrom UKwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 13/05/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

4 out of 5

We went because we had tickets to the classical brit awards at the royal albert hall, which was a feast of music. The meal beforehand, at the rah, was bad, as the order had been lost both for us, and the table next to us! the tara hotel was very convenient, and all that we wanted - we will stay there again. The second day we took the sightseeing open top bus, and must have seen everything in london thre was to see. Had a nice lunch in the garden cafe in regents park. Train back to devon in the evening. Super break!.

Lovely Short Break In London

Stay Date: 28/04/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

Main aim of trip was to see paul carrack and rpo at royal college of music - excellent night. Hotel copthorne tara was chosen as being near by. Hotel is nice in the public areas however, our room was a little "tired" and the bed could do with replacing. Not sure if it was a full double. Certainly smaller than ours. Weather was great and it was nice to be around london with the build up to the royal wedding!.
