out of 5Newcastle is a lovely city, we stayed at the travelodge central. Fine for stags and hens. Not a pleasant place for children!! the breakfast was horrible! the atmosphere was horrible! the hotel is filthy and the upper level in the car park.....Beware as the ramp opening is fine if you have a mini!!.

out of 5Travelodge very central but a bit "tired" - in need of refurb, but was adequate. Sage centre well worth a visit - went to excellent concert there. Metro took us out to tynemouth and whitley bay - wonderful weather and good transport service. Overall a great few days away.

out of 5This hotel is within walking distance of the quay. The staff are warm and friendly. However, the stair carpets could do with a hoover on them and the carpet in our room looked okay but it didn't have a hoover over it enough to take up a small piece of debris. Our main complaints is that the bed was not made properly. We were taken-aback at the lack of neatness in the making of the bed - it was obviously thrown together and just tucked in to make it look okay but the sheet over the mattress was all crumpled. The plastic cover on the mattress is acceptable if it is covered well with bedding but it wasn't. We had to place the extra duvet cover over the mattress on the last night so that we could sleep without feeling sticky. I have never complained before but feel it's only fair to point this matter out so that other guests will not be troubled by them, hopefully!

out of 5Went to Newcastle for a wedding reception. This was our fist stay in a travelodge. Travelodge was better than the hotel we stayed in in milan in july. Could not fault it. Very clean, comfy beds, nice bar area and lovely breakfast. Will definitely viisit again and certainly stay in travelodge again.

out of 5Travelodge central is what you come to expect from just about any travelodge: fairly clean, fairly friendly, a bit like a college halls of residence. As long as you're not paying much for it you shouldn't be disappointed. No surprise then that it is the obvious choice for so many stag/hen dos.
