out of 5And we certainly did !! the hotel was fine! Yes there was some refurb work hence scaffolding - but it didnt spoil the stay. For the price we paid £133 for 2 people staying 2 nights with breakfast - it was really good value. The hotel room was also clean - which to me and my better half was most important. There is also a very sweet girl who cooked us a great scrambled egg!! I would stay again - no problem.

out of 5We were on our way to an apartment in france in charente maritime, but spent four nights in travelodges on our way there and home again. The apartment and the surroundings were outstanding, and the hotels were most satisfactory. The food we bought in the restaurants was outstanding, it was best in england--a nepalese restaurant in newbury and the italian one in eastbourne. I've never said that cooking in england was better than in france before. (mind you the dishes were cooked by nepalese and italians.).

out of 5I was a little disappointed. I have stayed in Travelodges before and they have always been very clean. In this Travelodge I thought the cleanliness (especially in the bathroom) was not adequate. I felt like I was staying in the "staff quarters". The rest of the hotel was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our break. I would think twice about booking at this particular Travelodge again.
