out of 5Bedroom door did not lock from the outside. Attempted repair by staff failed. A bit off putting to have to sign a form on checking in that if the bath steam set of the fire alarm we would be fined euro250.00 although we are not smokers the form i signed also stated we would be fined euor200.00 if we smoked in the room. Never experienced this before in over 50 years of travel staying at many many hotels in this time.
Weekend Break in Rotterdam
A customerfrom Chesterfieldwho stayed at 3* Euro Hotel in Rotterdam wrote this review.
Stay Date: 24/05/09
Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Rotterdam is like Manhatten in New York, but with a distinct European feel. Most of the bars and restaurants seem to be around the Beurs World Trade Centre (there's a Metro station called Beur, which serves both the Erasmulijn and Calandlijn). Prices for food and drink are about the same as in the UK.Rotterdam is a small city that can easily be seen by walking. There's an excellent tram network, as well as a Metro system. Very fast water taxis cross from the north to the south side of the Nieuwe Maas river. The Euromast next to the city's park gives fantastic views of the city, but for a bit more of a twist (literally) try the Euroscoop (included in the entrance price for the Euromast), which is a circular cabin that corkscrews up the tower's needle, stops at the top and revovles around a few times before descending - don't forget to grab a seat that's above the one of the sections of glass floor!

First in a race with Dutch Civil Servants and then two days later in The Hague Half Marathon on very litle training.Hotel room was adequate and breakfast substantial and some interesting places to see in Rotterdam within reasonable walking distance. Excellent train service if you wish to explore further afield.
