Short Trip To Bruges

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Had a few days in Bruges and the hotel we stayed at was perfect for us. It was in a great location very close to the centre and wasn't hard to find at all. The room was clean and was ok for our one night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok but could have been better. Overall though our holiday to Bruges was great, we enjoyed a boat ride on the canals and the weather was great.

Overall Hotel Rating:
out of 5Ferry was great with buffet (all you can eat and there was a great choice) restaurant, piano bar, entertainment and several cafes. Decent size duty free shopping. Hotel was central. Room was clean and very comfortable, adjustable heating, hairdryer, minibar (this was very expensive 5 euros for 25ml bottle of spirits) glad we took our own wine. Buffet breakfast had all you could want, staff could not do enough for us. We arrived from the ferry at approximately 9 o'clock and although you can not check in until 2 o'clock at the earliest there were facilities to store luggage. On leaving the room at 11 am check out time, our luggage was left secure until we needed it at 4pm to return home. Bruges is a beautiful town especially with it being near Christmas the street decorations were very impressive. The Christmas market was an extra but not as good as markets we had visited at home. Bruges in general appeared to us to be expensive but well worth the visit-main courses were upwards of 15 euros each. A lunchtime snack of one soup and one coffee was 15 euros.
