About Grease
Now in its fourth consecutive year and the longest running show in the venue’s history, it appears that London’s Piccadilly Theatre is hopelessly devoted to Grease the Musical. This glittering stage show is a fantastic all singing all dancing adaptation of the 1978 smash hit musical film Grease.
At Rydell High the T-Birds rule the school and the coolest kid in town is head of the gang Danny. However, when he returns from summer break for his final year he finds his reputation is under threat when he is reunited with his summer sweetheart Sandy, a good, sweet, wholesome girl who doesn’t have a bad bone in her body.
Sandy doesn’t really fit in with the ultra-cool Pink Ladies gang and there leader Rizzo and she can’t understand why Danny doesn’t seem interested in her now they are back at school. Full of angst, drama and more than a few spectacular songs, Grease is the original high school musical.
With fabulous stage designs, exciting dance numbers and all your favourite songs, Grease the Musical pays true homage to one of the greatest films of all time and lives up to the unforgettable performances by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. With all your favourite songs including You're The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You and Greased Lightnin' , you are sure to be up on your feet and singing along the whole way with Grease the Musical.
