Disappointing For A 4* Hotel

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 25/09/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

2 out of 5

The hotel reception appeared understaffed, the room was tired in appearance and the furnishings were worn. The restaurant above was hosting a wedding and there was a rain of lit cigerette ends on the terrace outside our room. Plus, we had to pay for parking. The views were stunning, but as there were large patio doors rather than any windows, if you wanted fresh air you were very exposed i was surprised at the change in the area over the last 10 years, it seemed full of young drunken people, even at 6 in the evening there were people staggering about the streets.

Arrived early, hotel bedroom available at no extra cost. Excellent facilities at hotel - swimming pool (inside and outside), spa and gym. Torquay looking like it needs a coat of paint but ok for a short visit. Boat trip good value for money.

Just a quick note to say that I was pleasently suprised by this hotel. It was excellent, the views from my bedroom and the restaurant were excellent. It had a feel of being on a cruise ship, food was excellent. I would definately recommend this hotel and would stay there again for pleasure this time. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous Time In Torquay

A customerfrom Bidefordwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 28/05/09

Overall Hotel Rating:

5 out of 5

Above-mentioned visits to Greenway and Coleton Fishacre couldn't have been more enjoyable. There were wonderful gardens that ran down to estuary and sea. Public were encouraged to play the grand pianos and we had talented musicians in both places playing a selection of Noel Coward type music. If sherry had been served we would have felt like house guests. When we arrived at the Imperial hotel we were taken aback by the sheer size and opulence of our magnificent suite with two balconies. The views over Torbay were breath-taking and we had to be dragged away screaming the next day.The staff were all delightful and dinner at the hotel was accompanied by the same views and gourmet food. It was a fantastic night away and we would like to thank everyone at Superbreak for doing such a superb job in making the arrangements.
