out of 5We had the most amazing weather - lovely blue skies. Sat in Dam Square people watching with a beer great! Went on a canal cruise which was really interesting. Bought an I Amsterdam Card which was well worth it. Hotel was really close to everthing. Shops were brilliant. Fantastic short break.

out of 5The Anne Frank Museum is well worth a visit. We booked on line before going which meant we did not have to queue. We just went straight in through the door on the left.If you want to be away from the crowds and avoid the red light district, staying near Spuistr. which we did is a good option. We stayed at the Nova Hotel on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal which is in walking distance of all the old town sites, but is quieter.Just walking around and looking at the buildings and architecture, soaking up the ambience and when you get tired just hop on a tram. What more could you ask for a short break!
