out of 5We'd gone for the 25th anniversary concert for phantom of the opera. The hotel was superbly situated for the underground station, literally a 2 minute walk, if that. But the description that it was a 5 minute walk to the R.A.H was rubbish. We got a taxi there, and walked back, at least 20 minute !!! but the hotel was excellent, our only crib was that they asked if we wanted a paper on sunday, we said, yes, but sunday only, and we wanted the mail on sunday. They left us the express, and when we went to change it, they'd got none left. But that is our only crib.

out of 5The hotel on gloucester road was ideally placed for the piccadilly line. The only downside to this station is the lift to and from the line but it was not too crowded. The hotel staff are excellent in reception as well as in the dining room. The breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice. The dining room is well presented and relaxed. We had a quiet night, even though we were overlooking the corner of the main road with the delivery area of the local waitrose and entrance to the underground. I would stay here again. Ronnie scotts was lovely as we are jazz fans and kyle eastwood was playing. We had a meal and drinks. A thoroughly good night although expensive. South kensington is a short walk away from the hotel with some lovely pubs, restaurants and shops.
