A Relaxing Retreat

out of 5This is a top quality hotel complex with a relaxed open planned atmosphere. It is only a short taxi ride from the busy souks in the Medina and is a good choice for groups. The cosmopolitan furnishings and facilities are of a high standard and the buffet breakfast was well prepared and comprehensive. The hotel is licensed and the half board option is great value. You can help yourself to a top quality buffet that caters for all tastes and appetites!Alternatively there is a good choice of restaurants in the Medina serving traditional food. Le Marrakchi overlooking the Djemaa El Fna is lively and can cater for large groups. Pre-booking is advised. Before hitting the souks visit the Ensemble Artisanal for a price guide and afterwards chill out with a drink in the informal lounge at the Grand Hotel Tazi. If you are planning to go trekking in the picturesque Atlas Mountains in Spring/Autumn take a guide and be prepared for unexpected adverse weather conditions!

out of 5Dirty, busy, polluted city with some places of interest, best day was the trip to the Atlas Mountains clean air and plenty of fantastic viewsNassim Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms were a good standard. However i wouldn't bother having dinner at the hotel, they did try however i felt they failed on this countI travelled with another woman and we were constantly troubled by the Morrocan men. So i would suggest that you go in a large group or with a guy as you will get less unwanted attention that way. You really do get to see another culture and way of life, however i was happy to land back on British soil and not return.

out of 5Lots of people thought we were mad going 'all the way' to Marrakech for just three days, but it's only a 3hr flight and you're in another world! Taxi's are easy to get at the airport. French is the preferred language although we got by with English & lots of gesturing! Hotel was lovely, staff very friendly & helpful.Majority of time was spent around Djemaa el-Fna in the old city. All five senses are assaulted the minute you enter the square - spices, snake charmers, market stalls, fortune tellers. The list is endless - just watch out for the scooters!! The souqs are an experience - be prepared to submit to lots of friendly hustling (although a firm, polite "no, thank you" will generally do the trick) and enjoy the bartering - it's expected!Sunday was spent on an excursion to the Atlas Mountains - a refreshing change from the City's hustle & bustle. We went through our hotel and it worked out cheaper than any we had been offered by a street vendor. It was well organised and good value - £15 per person for a full day out with guide.
