out of 5Hotel location is excellent - in the centre of woodstock. Family suite was spacious with two bedrooms. Cooked breakfast would have been better as a buffet. Woodstock is full of interesting, individually shops and plenty of places to drink and eat.

out of 5Stayed at Macdonald Bear hotel which was excellent and just a few minutes walk from Blenheim. Palace was beautiful and very intereting to look around. Grounds are absolutely stunning and there was a craft fayre too. Took the bus to Witney and noticed a frequent bus service to Oxford too. Lovely break, Woodstock is the perfect base for a visit to the Cotswolds

out of 5Woodstock is a beautiful little village in the Oxfordshire countryside and a stones throw from Blenham Palace. The service at the Bear is exceptional. It is plain to see how this hotel has been awarded their 4 stars My husband Chris and I had a lovely time. We were travelling from Boston in Lincolnshire and the roads are not clearly signed all the way, After 12 roundabouts and signs that looked like they had been stolen and not replaced with just posts remaining it was a little stressful next time we would take the train. The Bear is perfect for a special break away
