out of 5Found Amsterdam a fantastic city filled with old world charm and lots to do. There was no shortage of places to eat, entertainment venues, etc.The Dutch people were very amiable and friendly. Language was no barrier as almost everybody seemed to be bilingual in Dutch and English.I believe that everbody should visit the Anne Frank musueum at some time in their life so that they can fully appreciate the gruesomeness of persecution and the futility of war. Found my visit there extremely moving.

out of 5I think the best way to see the old inner city of Amsterdam is on foot and by means of a canal tour boat. We caught one on the Stadhouderskade, opposite the Heineken Museum and found it to be excellent value. If you,re looking for reasonably priced good fast(and I mean fast) food, try Wok to Work. Great oriental menu,cooked as you wait-and you don,t wait long. We were lucky to come across a photographic exhibition-The Earth From Above by Yann Arthus Bertrand.This was outdoors and free.Absolutely beautiful photographs and with the purpose of drawing ones attention to the beauty of the planet and to the expoitation and poverty of so many of its people. This was on the Waterlooplein, next to the Flea Market. Always lots to see in Amsterdam,and our hotel(Hotel Okura) was just great.We also liked its location(De Pijp).
