A Day Out To Thorpe Park

out of 5We travelled from the Manchester area for a trip to Thorpe Park and therefore wanted to travel down the day before due to the travel. We travelled down Wednesday and checked into the hotel around tea time. The hotel reception area was lovely and our room was really nice. We went out for tea at a nearby restaurant which was good for the price - there was plenty of food. We spent the night at the hotel and we had our breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and the member of staff that served us was friendly and polite. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel exceeded our expectations for the money we paid. We travelled to Thorpe Park Thursday morning after breakfast and spent the day there. Thorpe Park was a fantastic day out and there was some really good rides! Big queques though for the popular rides (which I anticipated). The park went quieter after 5pm though so there is shorter quequing times after that! Overall a really fantastic break!.

out of 5We booked an overnight stop at Skylane after returning from our holiday at 8pm. Managed to find the phone okay but as we were last in the queue had to wait for the minibus to take passengers to the hotel and come back for us. Driver very nice and suggested that we wait inside so not to get cold. Would have been better if more than one minibus was operating. The reception was very nice as were the staff, but the transit areas needed updating but they are in the process of installing a new lift which hopefully these areas would be refurbished after that. The lift did not work so we had to carry the cases up the stairs. The corridor to the room and the room itself have all been refurbished. The room was lovely and clean and the beds were comfy. We were able to adjust the air con. To heat up the room which worked very quickly.

out of 5Overall facilities were fine. One surprise was absent of lift and need to carry heavy baggage to room on second floor.
