out of 5We meet up with my youngest and her partner. York is a lovely place with lots to see. A lot of the city centre pubs are quite small, but serve a good range of real ales. There is a good range of places to eat. Lucia's serve a good variety of dishes at a reasonable price. The elmbank hotel is to be avoided at all costs. It is very noisy - you can hear other guests going about their daily chores as if they were in the same room. Our room had a strange odour and the shower was extremely small. The breakfast was okay, till we saw the waiter topping up the serving hot tray. Basic food hygiene is not practised at this hotel. And contrary to the hotel description, it is at least 15 mins walk from York centre.

out of 5The park inn York was in an excellant location for all of yorks atractions. The hotel was spotlessly clean with very helpful and friendly staff, the room we had was a room with a river view and was spacious and airy. The park inn was perfect for a visit we would definately stay there again.
