out of 5The Macdonald townhouse has a plaque outside with a different hotel name on it. Great when you are walking up and down the road in the rain with luggage. The rooms facing the main street are uninhabitable due to the noise from the pub and clubs opposite, you need to request a room at the far end of the hotel in order to get any sleep. Location is handy from the station and to the theatre, food is good.

out of 5All the friendly super staff made us want to return to the hotel. Great singer on in the hotel on a saturday night. Hotel in amongst it all. Parking in manchester far too expensive. £48 at the q park car park ??? for two nights.

out of 5Hotel and staff were excellent. Very convenient for Bridgewater Hall and for shopping in Manchester. Overall would definitely stay there again.

out of 5We spent Christmas in Portugal & New Year in Ireland, as we live in the Isle of Man, we needed accomodation in Manchester after arriving at the airport, until our next flight to Belfast. The Princess on Portland was very handy for the city centre, train station ect, ideal in fact! Visited the wheel in city centre, & the snow slide and play area, very good.
