out of 5The staff in the hotel were very helpful and the hotel is in a nice quiet location with plenty of parking. The room and bathroom had not been cleaned properly but apart from that our stay was excellent. The breakfast is brilliant, help yourself and plenty of choice. We parked up and used a taxi to the centre, it only cost £5. York is a lovely place to visit, we have visited many times.

out of 5We stayed for 2 nights at the Holiday Inn in York and we were very impressed and pleased with the hotel - the room was to our standard, clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and the food was good in the restaurant. We went to Silvano's italian restaurant on one of our evenings and the food was fantastic - certainly one to try if you like a good service, atmosphere and excellent food!!.

out of 5A great weekend in York with blazing hot sunshine, good company, good food, good drinks and a nice ambience. Spring was in the air. There were old couples, young couples, singles, families, every nationality you could think of and lots of smiling faces. From the ladies in the park drinking with the hen to the old boy selling the big issue everyone was having a great time. Whether it be the Cathedral, the museum, shopping at lakeland plastics or having a pint, I would happily go back to York for another weekend.
