out of 5For what we paid we were happy however the room was a bit dated and scabby. Staff very friendly and breakfast enjoyable. Pictures of rooms on the website were nothing like what we got so was a bit disappointed in that respect.

out of 5An excellent four day break was spent at gretna hall hotel. The highlight may have been two of our party unexpectedly being asked to be witnesses at an anvil wedding. With good weather a coastal drive to caerlaverock castle and a walk through the 13th century edifice was a lovely day out. A visit to bruce`s cave at kirkpatrick fleming was no mean feat for someone with an amputated leg. Of course this was the cave (one of them) where robert bruce saw the spider before his magnificent victory at bannockburn.
