out of 5We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in jury's inn, quiet clean and well kept accomodation within walking distance of king's cross, I would reccomend visiting a little italian just around the corner on chapel street for a nice evening meal and polite staff.

out of 5The jurys inn is a very comfortable hotel with good access to transport into the city centre. We visited over the easter weekend which was very warm, no problem, all rooms are air conditioned. Reception and restaurant staff very efficient.Hotel is just around the corner from upper street where lots of great bars and restaurants can be found.
A Hectic Weekend In London

out of 5We decided to visit London along with our 9 and 5 year old. After booking a visit for the day, we decided to take things at a slower- if that is possible in london - pace over 3 days. The hotel jurys inn islongton is in an excellent location. It is one tube stop on the norhtern line from kings cross, or a short 10minute walk from the train station. Islington itself is quite trendy, so lots of bars/restaurants a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. (don't let me put you off if you are older/have a family, as i mean it is a "nice" area, safe to walk around at night etc). The hotel is modern, clean and what you expect from a chain of hotels, if you are a fan of premier inn/travelodge etc. Nothing fancy, but a good standard. The room was modern, clean, had a flat screen tv, hairdryer etc. The only negative thing was the noise. Not from outside the hotel, but inside! I am amazed how people seem to go into holiday mode and allow the children to race around at all hours of the day and night, shouting, shrieking etc. It's not that we are against children- we have 2 of our own - but i think there is a limit when you are disturbed at midnight by noisy families allowing youngsters to race along the corridor, slam doors, shouting and shrieking. London we had planned beforehand where we wanted to go, to ensure that we saw all of the "must see" sights. First of all, would recommend a day pass for the tube. Currently £6.20 per adult (children are free). The london eye is a must. I am not one for heights, but my daughter was desperate to go and after discovering that you could get 2 for 1 tickets for there, london bridge and the dungeons if you booked train tickets through national rail, it seemed worth a go. The views are stunning and remember to go to the 4 d show before the wheel. It's brilliant! we all had a fabulous time, although it was busy and the changing of the guard was a little stressful. As everyone is preparing for the wedding of the year, it was a nightmare trying to find anywhere to stand, especially as there were hundreds of foreign school parties as well as the usual group tours. This resulted in irrate people and a lot of stress-not advisable if you have children!.
