out of 5Taking the trip to Liverpool by train meant that we were stress free from driving. Travelodge is across the road from train station. Travelodge clean, very basic but great location for visiting all the local interests. Excelsior Pub across the road, very friendly.Our main reason for going to Liverpool was to watch Liverpool F.C. at Anfield on the Wednesday night. Although buses run regular to Anfield, it is so much easier to go by taxi, cost about £6.00 each way. Went back on the Friday to do Tour of the Stadium with Museum included. Excellent value. Advisable to book before hand. Alot of building going on around Albert Docks but worth a walk. Ferry across the Mersey well worth it. Shopping is fantastic from Designer to Primark(5 floors).
