2 Days In Edinburgh

We arrived early in order to get another day in but had to pay £10 for an early book in. We had been hoping we would be able to leave the case at reception. Our room was clean and comfortable but the sealant round the bath was filthy. We were told it was all being renewed. Too late for us. Dynamic earth was very good and the city bus which we could jump on and off was great. Ediburgh castle was ok, but i wish we had visited holyrood palace instead. Roll on next time.

Travel on east coast trains was easy quick and on time - very efficient. Travelodge located about a mile and a half from waverley bridge station so easily walkable - people all very freindly and welcoming - travelodge perfect for us as always it does exactly what it says on the tin, clean comfortable affordable accomodation in good location not far from the city centre. Would definatly come back using this hotel and train as it was easy and problem free.10/10.

Good journey from king's cross. First class travel worth the extra as food included though shame the saturday menu was very limited. Edinburgh was wonderful but needed much longer. We walked miles round the city and along the river. Wonderful.

3 Day Break In Edinburgh

A customerwho stayed at this hotel wrote this review.

Stay Date: 09/07/11

Overall Hotel Rating:

3 out of 5

We enjoyed an excellent "super break " in edinburgh which started and finished with an enjoyable train journey with east coast rail. We paid a small supplement for first class which was very good value as newspapers, drinks and meals were served free of charge. We managed to see many of the attractions in edinburgh by touring around on an opentop bus, but a day ticket costing £3.20 on the lothian public bus service was also very good value.
